21st Century Transcript Endorsement Requirements

|
After completing the CaSE program, graduating seniors will receive an endorsement on their official high school transcript. The endorsement offers students the opportunity to showcase their studies and achievements to future employers or post-secondary schools.
Students are evaluated continuously through the program to make sure they are on track to receive the endorsement upon graduation.
The endorsement requirements can be obtained from Mrs. Terry Yoast in Room 105 at Olathe South High School.
The student will:
- complete at least two programming languages
- be proficient in at least one database language
- complete Data Forensics
- be enrolled in a Math course at least three years
- complete either a Senior Internship or an approved Senior Project
Senior Projects are submitted for approval by a written proposal. They are entire custom software packages for a not for profit organization. This can be a charity organization, the school district, or your church. The project must have a database on the backend to be considered. Custom software packages will include at least install instructions, design notes, a concurrency from the programmers, a user’s manual, and training for the recipient. This software MUST be bug free.
See Mrs. Yoast for detailed proposal requirements.
