“Women in Design” mentorship


Amanda Buscher, Megan Walkowiak, Kourtney Schippers and Heather Bratcher participated in a “Women in Design” mentorship for their Environmental Design class at Olathe East High School. Each young lady shadowed a professional in the Design field on Sept.22, 2006, to get a better understanding of what those jobs entailed.

Two Environmental Design Students
Invited to New York


Heather Bratcher and Amy Finnerty, along with their teacher, Mrs. Nikoo-Manesh, were invited to New York, on April 27th 2006, by the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum (a Smithsonian Institution). The students attended the opening of the new Target National Design Education Center and participated in a number of Design related activities. They had the opportunity to meet with national designers and discuss their options and future in the design world.
