About Me

I started teaching at Manchester Park in 2006. I have loved each and every year. The teacher community, parent involvement, and of course amazing students are what make Manchester Park the best place to teach!

I received my bachelor’s degree from Emporia State University in December of 2003. I started teaching right away in Edwardsville, KS. I taught first grade for 2 1/2 years. I then began teaching first grade here at Manchester Park in 2006. After one year I moved up to teach second grade and have been here since. I LOVE second grade!

When I started teaching in Olathe I also began working towards a dual masters in Curriculum and Instruction as well as Administration. I graduated in May 2010. I love learning and continue to grow and educate myself in these areas.

In December of 2010 my husband Tom and I had the most adorable twin boys! Then in May of 2014 we had another adorable boy! Lots of crazy and fun times at our house! They are the center of my world. I have grown so much as a person and a teacher since they have been in my life. We also have a miniature schnauzer and her name is Diamond.

When I get some free time I enjoy spending it with my friends, watching movies, reading, and of course shopping. I love to travel, although we haven’t been able to do much of that lately. This summer was moslty filled with going to our neighborhood pool, the library, parks, and playing outside. Spending time with my family is very important to me so I try to do that as much as possible.

I love using technology and I hope you find my website informative and easy to navigate. Thanks for checking out my website!
