I grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico with Padre Island in my backyard and received my Bachelor’s degree in nursing from Texas A&M University there in Corpus.  After graduation, I moved to Kansas City and attended the University of Kansas, receiving my Master’s degree in Nursing.  I am married and have 2 boys, one at Indian Trail Jr. High and one in 6th grade at Heritage Elementary.  My favorite hobbies are reading, music (piano and voice), art, and knitting.  I have two cats who allow me to live in their house.  After many years spent in the hospital setting as a staff nurse, nurse administrator, and nurse educator, I decided to try school nursing and I have been enjoying the privilege of working with Olathe students since that time.  I spent the first four years at Prairie Center Elementary, before transferring to Indian Trail Junior High.  I am so pleased to have been able to join the staff of such a wonderful school.
