Take Off With Reading!

Our reading challenge theme for the year has been “Take off with Reading!”  I am excited to share the news that thanks to the generosity of Re/Max we will have a hot air balloon come and visit our school in May.  If we read two million minutes by the end of April Ms. Craig will have to take off in the hot air balloon.  The top reader from each grade level will also have an opportunity to take a tethered ride in the hot air balloon.  Keep on reading, recording your minutes, and returning your forms at the end of the month.  We will not know an exact date until mid May since hot air balloons do not fly on windy days.

Book Fair

I would like to thank all of the families that stopped by to shop the book fair.  We had a very successful book fair this year!  I have already added several new books to the library that were on the book fair and we will be able to add many more new books soon.  I would like to send out a special thank you to all of the book fair volunteers that help to make our fair successful.  The fair would not have gone as smooth without the many wonderful volunteers.
