Hello, my name is John Dunaway and I am currently in my seventeenth year of teaching mathematics.  I have taught in Blue Valley, Eudora and now happily in Olathe.  I am also in my seventh year as an adjunct professor at Johnson County Community College teaching introductory math classes.

 

I have also coached almost every sport available including Baseball (High School Head), Football, Volleyball, Basketball (boys and girls) and Track.  Due to family commitments I no longer am able to coach.

 
In the middle of my teaching experience I worked as a contract bond underwriter and marketing person for a large national Insurance Company which is now owned by Zurich.

 

I am married to Susan and we have two boys, Eli (six years old in December 2011) and Liam (Four years old in January 2012).

 

I love teaching Middle School and look forward to a great year.  I have high expectations for my students and expect to have them prepared to move on successfully to their following math classes.
